Paul Traynor
After working as in-house lighting specialist for architectural / multi-disciplined practices RMJM and Aukett, Paul Traynor established indigo light planning in 1999.
The practice has grown in eleven years into one of the most significant independent consultancies in Europe, handling major projects such as NATO’s new headquarters in Brussels, urban master-plans in the UK, Moscow and the middle-east to historical and cultural schemes including Christopher Wren’s Monument to the Great Fire in London.
In 2007, the practice changed its identity to Light Bureau and since this time, has gone from strength to strength, opening a new office in Ireland and expanding the international portfolio of projects. Paul is a professional member and currently Vice-President of the Professional Lighting Designer’s Association (PLDA). Paul speaks regularly at international events including PLDC 2009 Berlin, Frankfurt Light & Building, Milan (Euroluce) and in several countries on behalf of PLDA during his presidency.
