Between them, Martin and Sharon have over 30 years of experience in the lighting industry ranging from Lighting Design to involvement with the Professional Lighting Designers’ Association. As the lighting profession begins to evolve and expand in a myriad of directions, it is the ideal time to create a new form of consultancy. The creation of Light Collective will enable them to work with the many issues and aspects of light that interest and inspire them.

The aspiration of Light Collective is to understand, interpret and work with light in all of its contexts – artistic, social, architectural, commercial, cultural, physiological and psychological. Martin and Sharon believe that light is an openly accessible medium that can be used to engage and inspire both other professionals and the uninitiated.

Their objective is that Light Collective provides an umbrella and platform for like- minded and inspired people to collaborate in a multitude of ways and in different formats.

From arch itectural lighting design, light installations and film, to education, community engagement, professional development and marketing, Light Collective is a home for, or the foundations from which many projects can be constructed – all with the medium that fundamentally drives us at their heart – LIGHT.

Sharon and Martin aim to spread their enthusiasm and evangelical passion for light to everyone that they encounter.
