Francesco Iannone
Francesco Iannone has been working with lighting design and industrial design applied to lighting for 25 years. Since graduating in Architecture from Milan Polytechnic in 1975, he has devoted all is efforts exclusively to lighting. In 1986, he founded the Consuline office in Milan, where he works with Serena Tellini. Here he combines his focus on designing luminaries, both for serial production and for special custom cases, with designing the lighting for workspace interiors, offices, artistic locations such as museums and exhibitions, places of worship, architectural heritage locations, shopping areas, special events and public open spaces.
One of his last important project is the Formula 1 circuit in Shanghai.
He designs products for Fosnova, Targetti, Sames, Tecnopali, Fivep-Cariboni, Artemide, VLM, Prisma/ Performance in Lighting and OYlight.
A founder member of ELDA+ (European Lighting Designers’ Association), he is now Fellow Member of PLDA after a period of four years as its President, and two years as its Vice-President.
Francesco Iannone is involved in ADI (Association of Italian Designer’s) Comitee in the organization of Compasso D’oro Award. He is also a member of AIDI (Italian Association of Illumination).
He has held numerous seminars and courses at university level all over the world, in Frankfurt, Sao Paulo, Rome, Milan, London, Paris, Edimburg, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Lugano, Beijing, Shanghai.
